What the Des Moines proceeds ledger will not invent
Which lines start from the Polk County record, and which stay as inputs because no public file contains them.
If you type an address the Polk County file recognizes, the ledger can start from that parcel's assessed value, year built, lot size, and last recorded sale. Those are the county's figures. They are not a prediction of what a buyer will pay this spring.
The file does not contain your mortgage payoff, the repairs a buyer will ask for, or the commission in your listing agreement. Those stay as inputs. Waukee and Norwalk are not in this Polk County extract, so they do not get a city page. A page without the sales would be a guess, and this site is not willing to print one.
City pages that do exist — Ankeny, Des Moines, West Des Moines, and the rest of the Polk list — preset the price from that city's recorded sales. The latest-news block on the home page is headlines from a Des Moines and Iowa query. It links out. It does not reprint anyone's article.
